Or how much any coach not named Andy Murray is going to use him. Good judgment fail.

And blowing Crombeen's house up sends such a strong message to the rest of the league: "We are not to be fucked with. Crombeen fucked with us, do you see how that worked out for him?"
Whatever it takes.

I LOL'ed when I read this yesterday, and I think I may have actually dreamed about it last night...JD sitting across the desk from a potential free-agent signing with a Cheshire Cat grin while the player says, "you'll never have a reason to Crombeen me."

Think about it, our chance of winning the Cup next year goes from zero percent to 27% in one shot. Never underestimate the power of intimidation. Opponents start thinking maybe they shouldn't run Oshie into the boards. Maybe they'll wake up in the morning with a horse's head next to them. Wings won't be getting Hossa, Sammulson, and Kopecky back. Hulder is also doubtful. Also Downy and McCarty haven't been offered new contracts.

Hossa & Hawks = 12 years, $62.8 million. Jeebus. Guess we can throw the "mercenary" tag out the window. From Kevin Allen's Twitter: With TSN saying Hossa signed with Chicago for 12 years, I have 'Hawks at $34 mill for eight players in 2010-11 witn no Kane, Toews, Keith.
LOLz.

Goirish seems to think there is something brewing with Zubov and the Blues, "stay tuned". Hasn't he nailed down a few things in the past?

He was the Kariya source, IIRC. I saw Strick just put up something else about Zubov, and I swear I saw a report that he signed a 1-yr deal with Dallas for $2ish mil yesterday...must've been a false report. I've always liked his game, so good news if true.

from eklund's latest rumor chart: Robert Lang - Didn't sign with the KHL. If healthy Lang is a small factor, especially on the Power Play. he is also rumored to be talking to St Louis and Dallas.
Manny Malhotra - Not a huge upside, but a definite addition to you 3rd or 4th line...The Isles have pursued this UFA as have the Yotes and the Blues allow me to be the first resounding "UGGGGHHHH" here.

Okay, who's been screwing with the Eklund Rumor Generator? Stillman to Blues? (e3)
According to sources within the Florida Panthers organisation, the St. Louis Blues are willing to part with D Barret Jackman, a bucket of fried chicken, a bag of pucks and LW Keith Tkachuk to obtain the services of LW Cory Stillman. Remember, you heard it here first!
