Blues sign 5 more, lose rights to former second round pick
The Blues have announced the signing of
two 2006 second-round draft picks in forward Patrik Berglund and defenseman Jonas Junland, as well as forward Nikolai Lemtyugov, a 7th-round pick in 2005.

They also announced the signings of two SM-liiga (Finland) players, goalie Juuso Riksman, 30, and forward Martin Kariya, 25, the brother of NHL superstar Paul Kariya. Funny fact: the team that Kariya was playing for in the FNL was also named the Blues.

Fans will be less pleased to hear that the team was unable to come to terms with their 2005 2nd-round pick Scott Jackson, defenseman, and will lose his rights. Jackson will re-enter the draft.
