the irony of the deal is that its less than 6 per year.  the pens were offering him less years, but more cash per year last season.  if he had taken it he might have won a cup too.

they are going to be in cap hell next year.  signing campbell at a 7.1M cap hit for the rest of eternity was fucking epic fail.

Yeah, Barker and Versteeg are both RFAs right now... and then they have Kane, Toews, Keith and possibly a couple more next year.

We'll see what happens when the other GMs get around to sniping at RFAs.

The hawks would rather trade them between the SCF and July 1 than risk losing them to an offer sheet.
