Here's the link to the Blues' sked.

http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app  (Select St. Louis from the "Team" drop-down list.)

Highlights, from a quick scan...

*  We open the season AT HOME! on 10/10 vs. Nashville.

*  Games 4 thru 10 are a 7-game homestand, our longest (10/16 thru 11/1).

*  It looks like our longest road trip is five games (11/5 thru 11/14; Ducks, Sharks, Kings, Sabres, 'Hawks.  Thank you, Chaifetz Arena!).

*  First game vs. Chicago is at home on Sa, 10/18, followed by our first game vs. Detroit on W, 10/22.

*  I haven't figured out who our "bonus" home & homes are against yet, but I'll read thru it & post it later.

Not bad...MUCH better than last year!

The Eastern Conference "home & homes" are with Boston, Carolina, and Florida.  Ugh.

Some key home dates against EC teams:

vs. Penguins: Sa, 11/1, 7:30

vs. Canadiens: Su, 11/16, 5:00

vs. Bruins: Su, 12/21, 5:00

vs. Senators: Th, 1/29/09, 7:30

vs. Flyers: Sa, 1/31/09, 7:30

vs. Rangers: M, 2/16/09, 6:00

(I omitted our home games against NJ, CAR, and FLA since I didn't think anyone would particularly care about those match-ups.)

19 back to back sets... That's almost half the season worth of back-to-back nights--and we all remember how bad the 2nd game typically was last year. The Mason signing looks really good now.

Damn damn damn damn damn.

I just realized I'll be out of town for the home opener.

That blows.

Probably down for a tailgate on the 18th, tho...

The 08/09 schedule is NOT road trip friendly.  If all goes well, Dallas will be the new arena for me this year.  I'll add the FL road trip in March is interesting...could tie in some Spring Training action with that!
