Title: the Blues won't be making any trades before the season

I would love to see Shanny signed just because it would mean that Big Wallet would be on his way out of town.

When ever the Wings add an over priced, aging former Blue they seem to do alright.

When ever the Wings add an over priced, aging former Blue they seem to do alright.

Conversely, whenever the Blues add an overpriced, aging former Blue (e.g. Weight, Tkachuk)...it doesn't seem to help much.

I have been a big Shanny fan for a long time.  I do think he can help the Blues improve their record this year.  But...I just can't get behind an acquisition that would cost youngsters like Oshie, Perron, Backes, and Stempy their shot at maximum Top-9 minutes at wing.  It seems to me we're at the point where we've just gotta see what we have with these guys...they'll either step up to cement their spots as part of the core, or they'll prove that we need to replace them for next year.

I'll cast my vote for "passing" on Shanny.  I won't be extremely disappointed if he ends up wearing a Bluenote, because I do appreciate & enjoy what he brings to the ice.

I got no problem bringing Shannahan back......he would be better tutor on how to score goals for Backes and Stempniak than Big Wallet could ever be.....

Was JAnney's wife hot, or did she just like a wet face?
