Andy Strickland is glowing about the
prospect Brandon Sutter, calling him the safest pick in the draft
and noting his overall awareness.
One thing to note about Brandon is that he
plays for the Red Deer Rebels, which are owned and coached by his
father, Brent Sutter...who is also coincidentally the only source
named in the article.
We're not sure we agree with
Strickland’s overall sentiments, especially considering His
overall variance in the
mock draft study we published yesterday…
-Sutter’s highest draft slot was 9th
by both Fox Sports and TSN. (Of note to Blues fans, Alexei
Cherepanov and Zach Hamill were also picked 9th by two different
publications)
-Sutter was not picked in the first round
in mock drafts by nhldraftbuzz and Red Line Report.
-Of the 8 mock drafts that Sutter WAS
picked in, he was picked as low as 27th.
-Due to him being completely missing from
20% of the mock drafts, he had an overall ranking of 15th.
Just food for thought.
